The past couple weeks!

So I find that I'll keep up on our blog for a while and then not update it for a while...oops!
It's been a busy past few weeks, we finally completed painting our basement and got our carpet installed, I just LOVE it, it's an actual living space now and the girls had a blast when we took them down there for the first time, timid at first as it was an "unknown" area since we had moved in. With the girls 2nd Birthday approaching fast I think I finally have everything under control for their party, just need to bake now! I can honestly not wait for their party!

The girls day home is closed for the first week of July and we originally were going to go visit Mike's family for 2 weeks but it unfortunately didn't pan out so we are now going to B.C for a week and staying at my Aunt's condo in Invermere, I'm really looking forward to it!

Mike is FINALLY done nights, well tonight is his last shift. :)

Loving the nice weather!

These past few days have been so nice, like high 20's nice!

For mothers day weekend we did a bunch of yard work, the girls played outside, Mike fixed our underground sprinkler system(he's so handy) and I did some gardening.

For mothers day my mom and I have volunteered in the mothers day walk and run for the past

4 years through my work. We did that first thing Sunday morning and then went to my aunts

for brucnh. The girls made me a few things, a framed photo of themselves with a decorated frame made

especially by each of them, a poem with their hand print on it, homemade card and some bath salts.

It was honestly the cutest thing ever watching them give me the gifts.

When we have to go inside from outside the girls are never happy, they always cry and are so upset that outside time is over. They would live out there if they could!

We brought out the picnic table that my brothers and I actualyl used as kids and

the girls thought they were so grownup sitting at it, SO cute!

                                                                        

Last thing, Mike is STILL on nights and will be for the rest of May..thumbs down!



Changes!

So I chopped my hair off. It was a long time coming. I was so sick of my long hair, I never did anything with it and I really didn't wear it down very often because the girls would get at it. So it's gone! I love the new short hair but it's gonna take some getting used to!

Here it is!

The girls are as busy as ever, but talking so much, I just love them! The other night Baxter was whining for his dinner and I said "hold on buddy" and our little parrot Kennedy said "howd on bubby". I love this stage right now!


We had a BBQ the other weekend and Avery, Kennedy and their friend Abby all stood at the window like this...

 Avery's new thing is to "lounge" she goes over to the couch and puts the pillows behind her and covers herself with a blanket lol, you can see Kennedy hiding there as well, and yes Avery is in a boy's t-shirt from day home, she got quite dirty that day..

Oh and Mike is on nights right now, booo!
