Friday is my new Favortie Day!

Well I have not posted on my blog in quite a while, but I have good reason. The girls got so sick, and I mean sick!! It was horrible, I took them to walk in after walk in and the urgent care centre and they were not getting better. They both had horrible ear aches...which I can't imagine the pain they were in! Finally on Wednesday I took them to the Children's Hospital (which I should have done from the get go!) they had a great doctor examine them and do an actual thorough check of their ears and throat. My poor little monkeys had severe ear aches, in both of their ears and throat infections(explains why they didn't want to eat anything). They both ended up getting a one time needle dose of antibiotics and Avery has a 3 day oral dose to take now as well. I have been home all week with them. Today is my first day back at work, short week for me! Last night was the first night in weeks they both slept through the night and didn't wake up with fevers. Yay, looks like we are on the road to recovery once and for all....knock on wood!

On a good note, Mike is officially done school TODAY! Yippeee can't wait to see him later today, and I also know he will ace his exam he writes today :)

I guess I've been slacking on my blog..the past week has been a crazy one! The girls both were sick and there were quite a few sleepless nights! Good news is they are both feeling way better now and they started at their new day home early, part ime for the time being. I am so so SO happy with it, it's just perfect, and the girls seem to be really enjoying it as well!

Mike is done school next Friday! How awesome is that! YAY!

The end of February can not come quick enough!

Two things are happening at the end of February, Mike finishes school and the girls start at their new dayhome. I seriously can't wait. This week has been a very rough one. Our current dayhome that the girls were going to until the end of the month got shut down by social workers for having to many kids under their care. Just like that we no longer have a dayhome for the girls to go to for the rest of the month. I went into complete panic mode! I had no idea how we were going to manage this, and me having to still go to work. To make a long boring story short I've manged to work it out that the girls will be going to a fun drop in day care centre for the most part, and my mom will take the girls on Fridays. Thank god for my family, I don't know what we would have done. To top all this of, Avery has had a fever for the past 2 days so I'm taking her to a walk in clinic tonight to get checked out. My boss has been very understanding with the whole situation so there ends up being 3 days that I just could not find alternate care and he said that's totally fine.
Anyways, I dropped Kennedy off at the drop in fun place this morning and she loved it (YAY) and Avery went to spend the day with Grandad because she's not well. Let's hope that it only gets better from here and little Avery starts feeling better AND Kennedy doesn't get what she has! *Fingers Crossed*

Great News!

We have finally found a new day home for the girls! I am so excited because it has been stressing me out ever since we found out our current day home was closing down. The new one is so convenient, right across the street in the next cul de sac! It was such a nice environment for the girls and the girls definitely made them selves right at home, it was pretty cute. So they officially start March 1st. Very exciting!

We had another couple over to watch the Superbowl yesterday, I made home made chili and the girls were loving the company over, showing off for them and all lol. Mike put the girls in their little football jerseys with their names on the back, so they were all ready as well. I can actually say this was probably one of the first football games I actually paid attention to the entire game and the half time show was great!

This pictures below are of the girls sitting at the kitchen table, we don't have booster seats for the kitchen table yet (still highchairs) but they both insisted to sit at the table. I got them set up with their place mats and a few cheerios. They sat quite proud. :)

Something new for the girls

So last night for dinner I tired something new with the girls. Instead of putting their dinner directly onto their highchair trays I put it into bowls for them and gave it to them, with a fork. They've been using their own little utensials for a while now but I thought forsure giving them their own bowl or plate with food on it would end up all over the floor. Good news..it didn't! They were both so proud and ate everything out of their little bowls! It was so cute, I even took pictures lol.

Another cute thing I'll share is when I asked the girls who comes home tonight Avery screamed DA DA, and Kennedy screams Daddy, yay for Fridays!



Half Way Done

If feels like yesterday that I was complaining Mike would be away at school for 7 weeks and here we are already half way done! yay! Lets hope the second half goes by as quick as the first! On a brighter note, it looks like we have found a GREAT day home for the girls. We go meet with the lady this Saturday morning, fingers crossed it goes well. She seems really nice and very organized! And a bonus is that she is right down the street from where we live!
