Dayhome Search Continues

So we are in the middle of searching for a new day home. Our
current one is closing down at the end of March. It has been so
hard trying to find a good day home that not only is a good price
but that we feel confident about leaving the girls in their care all day!
I know we still have two months, but it is going to stress me out
until we find one!

We had a good weekend tho! The girls had a sleepover at Gramma and
Gramps on Saturday and Mike and I had a nice night, went out for dinner
and then I went and watched his hockey game! We are almost halfway
through Mike being done school YAY!

I also FINALLY got our wedding photos developed and put them in an album.
Here are some of my favs, still.

First Dance, big fav!

So generally Avery and Kennedy are great little sleepers. Been sleeping around 10-12 hours a nights since 2 and 3 months old. We have the odd hiccup but usually were pretty lucky. Last night was definitely one of our "hiccup" nights. Usually if one of the girls wakes up in the middle of the night Mike or I can go up and calm them down, if both get up then we both go up and calm them down, sometimes bring them downstairs or into our room. Now, because Mike is away at school it's been a fear of mine that both girls will wake up in the middle of the night and I won't be able to calm them down alone...that's exactly what happened last night!
They went down around 7pm and Avery decided to wake up around 11, she got so upset that she woke up Kennedy as well. It was really windy out so I'm thinking it may have woken Avery up and scared her. But there was no calming either one of them down last night. I did just about everything I could, changed their diapers, gave them a drink, a little snack, let them run around, brought them into bed, sang to them, read stories, and rubbed both their heads....nothing was working. Finally Kennedy settled but Avery was being stubborn as ever and  it became a game to her. Finally 2 hours later she was tired enough to be put back to bed and not cry when I left. It was quite an ordeal and I was exhausted by the end, but it made me realize how much we miss Mike and can't wait for him to be home for the weekend!!

I'm adding this picture because it's not very often that the girls will actually share and play nice together but they were building blocks and were so content together. You can only see their backs but there actually playing, lol.

This Picture is just too cute, the girls love sitting in their chairs with Daddy..Avery is saying "cheeeese"

What a week!

Well, this week has officially been a tough one! Monday started off with me thinking our furnace was broken, and with this cold snap of -30 (-40 with the windchill) it was not fun! My dad ended up comiung over to take a look at it and the end result was something simple...the programming that the previous owners had it set at was off haha. So problem fixed, and it's not been re- programmed!  On another note, when I was driving to work yesterday morning the brakes on the truck decided to go. I had just dropped the girls off at daycare(thank goodness) and then surprise! I managed to pull over and stop the truck....popping it into park.....I paniced! To make a long story short, my dad ended up coming to get me and I was able to get through to AMA to come tow the truck. We got the truck repaired and got it back last night! What a relief! On a brighter note, the girls and I did get to see Mike yesterday, he was coming home for a Dr's appointment so it was perfect!

Anyways, here's to hoping the rest of this week is better, and plus it;s almost the weekend, which means Mike is home!

I am posting these pictures of the girls because I think they look so cute, yet grown up in these outfits! They are from my Auntie Deb! :)

Wish weekends were longer!

It was so nice having Mike home for the weekend! I had a little list for him to do tho, putting up our new blinds and changing the brake pads on the truck. He's so handy, and it all got done! :)

We had a very relaxing weekend as a family and the girls loved having Daddy home. Poor Kennedy was quite upset seeing him leave last night tho. It amazes me to see how much the girls can change in such a short time, Mike noticed a difference in both of them in just 5 days, which amazes me!

I know this is from Xmas but it's a cute one of Daddy and his girls!

Week 1 done, 6 more to go!

This past week was Mike's first week up in Red Deer for his second of 3, rounds of schooling for his apprentice. It's a 7 week course but he comes home on the weekends!(Thank goodness) The first time he went it was alot easier because I was pregnant and on bedrest so I stayed at my parents house. This time is alot different, and alot has happened since the first time he went. The girls have kept me quite busy this week but surprisingly the week flew by,on monday my brothers came over to see Avery and Kennedy, tuesday my parents came over, wednesday a gf of mine came over, thursday I had a work function so the girls got to have a sleepover at Grammy and Grandads and today Mike gets home! The girls and I are exctied to have him home for the weekend.

On another note, Avery and Kennedy have fallen in love with sesame street. They of course already love the sesame street toys we have and the books but have never been into watching the actual tv show (which I'm happy about) But the other night they both dragged over their little chairs and sat down with their sippy cups to watch some sesame street. It was so cute and the fact they sat there for a solid 10 minutes was impressive in itself!

I was even able to snap a picture, lol

Trying something new!

I've always thought about starting a blog (especially when I was pregnant), but figured it wouldn't be exciting enought for people to read...so I'm going to give this a whirl!
I figure with how busy Avery and Kennedy have become and the start of a new year, this blog could be very intersting for some. lol.

We'll see how this goes, and see if I manage to maintain it!
